About ELLINAS

ELLINAS is a 19-year-old punk artist born in Brampton, Ontario, who writes from the frustration, struggles and raw emotions of growing up. After spending part of his childhood in Barrie, he returned to Brampton, finding in punk a way to express feelings that needed somewhere to go.

Influenced by the Ramones, Pixies and Human Expression, he makes punk and hardcore rooted in youthful anger, individuality and rebellion against the norm. He writes and records his own material, using drum samples alongside his performances.

His song “Cardiac” explores repeating mistakes and putting other people before yourself. That honesty runs through his approach: getting his own emotions out, and giving listeners room to do the same.
